This and Shanti 1 (which I also stayed at on this visit to Skopje) are both great hostels. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful, there is a good atmosphere and the location is perfect, being walking distance from both the bus station and the centre. Also a couple of little things that make them stand out (e.g. curtains on all the beds and toasted sandwich makers for a quick, cheap meal).

Thanks Shanti for a beautiful introduction to Skopje. Hostel main areas are beautiful and relaxing, juts like being at home. Staff went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay in Skopje and took us out for an evening on the town. The area is in the suburbs so you can mix with locals and experience what Macedonia is all about. Thanks!

Nice, pleasant hostel. Easy to find (just down the road from the bus station). Good seating area outside and great ‘chill out’ common room with comfy sofas. Very helpful staff as well.

The curtain per bed in the dormitory room is fantastic design! It helps you secure a great sleep even if other people turn on the light, as the curtain let you stay in dark while sleep. The 5 stars SHOWER equipment in the Shanti 2: Shower, Music (listen to the radio music while taking shower) and SPA (sit down and enjoy the water flushing on your back) ! The breakfast includes CHEESE is my favorite. 24 hours coffee (with milk), different types of tea bags and apple juice are fabulous. The friendly staff who provides bus info, restaurant info and club/bar info. Overall, I enjoy the stay in Shanti hostel and have met diverse people from the world. Definitely will go back to visit the hostel and staff there again.

Nice place and the dorm rooms aren’t too cramped. Nice breakfast and staff helpful and friendly. Handy for trains and buses and not far to the main square. A good choice.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Shanti Hostel 2!! The staff were all so friendly, welcoming and give heaps of tips and recommendation on what to do/see/eat in Skopje. Location couldn’t be much better – near to bus/train station and a mere 10mins walk to the city centre and old town. Facilities are all modern and clean. Super comfy bed that comes with curtain which is a nice touch and also big lockers for safe-keep your things.

That it provides all services which are absolutely needed by travellers. Apart from breakfast, shower, nice beds, very very kind and helpful stuff and information about the location, there is much more things to mention but mainly I would emphasise the location which is as made for those who, as me, comes very late in the night.
A great hostel indeed! Super friendly staff and really nice people! It’s very close to the train station and only a 5 min. Walk to the city centre. We had a great stay!

I spent a nice time in Shanti 1, afterwards because it was full i booked Shanti 2 and this was even better. Staff is in a friendly mood, shower is out of space, clean and modern hostel, close to the bus and train station and 7 minutes from the main city square and the old pat of the city. Thank you guys one more time!

The location is great, really close to bus&train station ad 10 min to city center. The staff is really helpful and facilities are really cool. I love the idea that every bed has a curtain, which shows that shanti respects peoples privacy. I recommend it to every skopje traveller.

Great hostel with super friendly and helpful staff. It really is a home away from home. I came for a couple of days but ended up staying for a week. The only hostel that is better than this hostel in Macedonia is the Shanti Hostel in Bitola.

Relaxing atmosphere, welcoming, friendly and helpful staff, bright and colourful, good breakfast, amazing location, the best shower in the world! Perfect!

Probably one of the best Hostels I’ve ever stayed in. Rooms are totally new, equipated with air conditioning (which is quite important in Macedonian summer), clean and safe. What is very important for me is that every bed has its own curtains so you won’t have any problems to sleep if the light avoids you. Toilets are very clean, and the shower is amazing Staff was very helpful and kind for us. I definitely recommend to stay here. Special Regards for Dina )

We had a very nice stay here due to friendly staff and good location near bus station and only 15 mins to the center. Good choice and value for money

Great location just a short walk away from the bus and train station and around five minutes to the centre by foot. Staff are friendly and extremely helpful. The dorm itself has comfy beds, large lockers to store your bags and each bed has a reading light. There are also individual curtains for each bed which is a very nice touch and is an unique feature of shanti hostels. With the inclusion of air con and a shower with a built in radio, it’s a bit of a bargain at 8 euro a night. Recommended!

Even though I was used to stay in hostels in skopje, this was the first time I was trying this one, and I discovered there much more than I was expecting in terms of conforts, cleanliness, and proximity to the train:bus station. Additionally even for such a low price, the breakfast was included. I would consequently strongly recommend this hostel!
